The number of pages in the book is determined by the size permitted by the binding.

If your file size, does not match the size of book that you want, we can often scale it to scale it to fit for you. In this case, it is advisable to inform us so that we can advise you on your best options as one pages size often does not scale well to another. For example, A4 size does not scale evenly to 8.5 x 11. Also, 8.5 x 11 does not scale evenly to 5.5 x 8.5.

20# paper is regular printer paper.

24# / 60# paper is a little thicker

28# / 70# paper is thicker again and better for show through

32# / 80# paper is the thickest paper for inside pages

80# Gloss is a glossy paper

100# Gloss is a thicker glossy paper. Typically used for brochures

Ideally, you should send the cover in a separate file. However, if you send with file with the cover, we will us the first / last pages of the file for the cover.

A PDF file is the best type of file to use.

When making an saddle stitch book, each sheet of paper in the book has 4 pages on it. So a book that has 8 pages has 2 sheets of paper and a book that has 16 pages has 4 sheets of paper. Each sheet with 4 pages is then folded in half and stitched into the book.

You will always enter the number of pages in your document for "Number of pages" in the options.

Put simply, the number of page you enter is the number of pages in the document you want printed.

You do not need to try to adjust for printing on 2 sides of the sheet or try to calculate how many sheets are needed once the file is set up for printing. The number of pages you enter is the number of pages in your document.

For Example; If you document had 100 pages in it, you will enter 100 for the number of pages.
